The Friary, Southsea



This residential building constructed in 1851 by Thomas Ellis Owen formed the subject of a major refurbishment scheme in 2008/ 2000. Seymour and Bainbridge worked on the complex replanning of all twently three flats plus a shop to incorporate new bathrooms and kitchens, where previously all the bathrooms were separate from the flats. The contract value was about £1.3M. The project won an award from the Portsmouth Society in 2011.
