A major eight phase repair programme, part funded by English Heritage started in 2007.  Phase 4 has just been tendered, following sucessful repairs and conservation work to the Lady Chapel and Tower where two clock faces were conserved and a new carving commissioned to commemorate Minster status granted in 2008. Further work beyond the repair programme is expected to include reodering of the interior.
